About
Founded in 2023. National innovation award by 2025.
Randy labs is a European technology company building AI-powered content protection, from an engineering base in Braga, Portugal. We own every layer of what we ship: the detection models, the enrichment pipeline and the blocking gateway. There is no third-party engine underneath and nothing in the chain we cannot explain to a court.
The name
Randy is R&D, said out loud.
The labs half is the intent: taking greenfield technology and turning it into something that ships, holds up in production, and survives contact with a real matchday. Research is only worth something once it becomes a product somebody can rely on.
Infinite innovation, limitless possibilities.
What we build
- Digital Rights Enforcement
- The flagship. Detection, validation and enforcement for live sport and premium content, end to end.
- CDMS
- Claim denial management for healthcare revenue cycles. An R&D project co-financed by the European Union.
- The compliance engine
- The rule framework underneath both, applied to whatever domain it is pointed at. Only the rules change.
A short history
- 2023
Randy labs is founded
The compliance engine is built from the start as a platform: multi-tenant, cloud-native and domain-agnostic.
- 2024
Detection at scale
The TARS AI engine and knowledge graphs arrive, and Digital Rights Enforcement goes into live operation.
- 2025
Agents take over
Hyperautomation and ambient-aware agents remove the manual steps from reporting and rebuttal. The Prémio Nacional de Inovação follows.
- 2026
Agentic workflows
Large Action Model integration extends what the agents can carry out unaided.
Recognition
- Two patents pending
- Including content validation without a reference feed
- Prémio Nacional de Inovação

In the press
“If the consumer can access pirate sources of content, our AI also has to be able to.”
Research and funding
Part of our research runs as collaborative projects co-financed by the European Union. CDMS is developed with a project lead and a research institute, and is documented in full on its project page.
